World War 1, “Offensive Britannique 1917”, a large uniface cast bronze medal, 1921, by Séraphim Émile Vernier (1852-1927), taken from the working plaster of his famous medal, a Tommy wearing a helmet, advances to the right, his rifle at the ready, 222mm., mounted for display in a plain gilt frame. approx. 420 mm. square, a superb and softly sculpted medal, extremely fine £150-250
