Originally from the collection of Major Charles Bellew Judge, 2nd P.W.O. Goorkha Rifles, sold at Sotheby, Wilkinson & Hodge, 18th May, 1900, and subsequently in the Gaskel, Sanderson, and Hawkes-Field collections.

The following extract is taken from the catalogue of the Major C. B. Judge sale: ‘Only four Europeans (including two officers) and seventy-five natives received the clasp for Corygaum. The following is a copy of an extract with the Medal - Corygaum, The Honble. the Governor of Bombay, was pleased at the recommendation of Lt. Col. Staunton, C.B., who commanded the British Troops on that memorable occasion to appoint Cundojee Mullojee, now a Havr. in the 1st Company of Havaldir, but late of the 2nd Battalion 1st Regiment N.I. and wounded in the action of Corygaum, to the charge of the monument, and to declare the trust to be hereditary in his family for ever. - 2nd Grenadier Regt. Bombay Native Infantry.’

This medal sold for the staggering sum of £100 in the Judge sale, a sum only bettered (by just £5) by the single Indian Mutiny V.C. to Lieutenant R. H. M. Aitken, 13th N.I.
