Army of India 1799-1826, 1 clasp, Nepaul (J. Morris, 17th Foot) short hyphen reverse, officially impressed naming, edge bruising, otherwise nearly very fine £800-1000

John Morris was born in the Parish of Uppingham, Rutland, and enlisted at Leicester on 20 January 1805 at the age of eighteen. He served throughout as a private and was discharged at Chatham on 7 July 1823, in consequence of long service and chronic debility. He had a total service of 18 years 183 days, including 16 years 321 days in India. Sold with copy discharge papers.
