Charles I (1625-1649), Oxford mint, Halfcrown, 1644, mm. rosette and Oxford plume on obv., rosette on rev., Briot’s horseman, Oxford plume behind king, grassy ground line below, large Oxford plume between two smaller above Declaration, date in large script figures between pellets, ox below, between rosettes, 14.94g/7h (Bull 611/12 (Ox.16-19-5c), this coin; Morr. B-12; cf. SCBI Brooker 905; N 2426; S 2968). On an irregular flan, very fine and toned, rare £600-£800
