The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, O.B.E. (Military) Officer’s 1st type breast badge, silver-gilt, hallmarks for London 1918; British War and Victory Medals, with M.I.D. oak leaves (Lt. Col. F. A. Shaw.); Territorial Decoration, E.VII.R., silver and silver-gilt, hallmarks for London 1909, the last lacking integral top riband bar, otherwise good very fine (4) £240-£280

O.B.E. London Gazette 1 January 1919.

Frederick Arthur Shaw served with the 12th Battalion, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment during the Great War on the Western Front from 23 January 1916, and was subsequently attached to the Labour Corps. For his services during the Great War he was Mentioned in Despatches (London Gazette 4 January 1917), and was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire.
