Frederick James Johnson was born in Mitcham, Surrey, and attested for the Hampshire Regiment at Fishbourne, Sussex. He served with the 15th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and died of wounds on 29 December 1916, aged 22. He is buried in Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, France.

Charles Johnson, the brother of Frederick James Johnson, was also born in Mitcham, Surrey, and like his brother attested for the Hampshire Regiment at Fishbourne, Sussex. He served with the 15th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 7 October 1916, aged 21. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.

Charles Alfred Holloway, was born in Brompton, Kent, and attested for the East Surrey Regiment. He served with the 8th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 23 March 1918. He is buried in Chauny Communal Cemetery, France.

Richard George Holloway, the brother of Charles Alfred Holloway, was born in Gillingham, Kent, and attested for the Royal Fusiliers. He served with the 12th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 6 February 1917. He is buried in the Philosophe British Military Cemetery, Mazingarbe, France.
