136 Romanian Distinguished Conduct Medals, Third Class, were awarded to the British Army for the Great War.

Wilfred Samuel Stone was born in 1892 at Bleadon, Somerset. He attested for Short Service with the Army Service Corps on 16 February 1915 and served with the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force in Egypt, attached to the 32nd Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery, from 29 December 1915 to 8 April 1916. He continued to serve with the Army Service Corps in France for the remainder of the war, in particular joining the 39th Divisional Motor Transport Company in in June 1918. He was discharged to the Class Z reserve on 9 April 1919 and died in Weston-super-Mare in 1959.
