Charles Brooker was the brother of D. Brooker - the latter residing at 17 Priory Road, Acton Green, Acton Lane, Chiswick, London. Brooker served during the Great War with the 9th (Service) Battalion, Royal Fusiliers on the Western Front. He died of wounds having been taken prisoner of war, 21 December 1917, and buried in the Cologne Southern Cemetery, Germany.
