A rare canvas over cork topee worn by an artillery man in the Colonies, complete with its gilded front plate, black and red central band with red, white and black silk cockade fitted to the side. The interior leather sweatband all complete produced by the maker in Bremen who supplied all the hats to the Colonial Forces Ludwig Bordfeldt, good condition £1,800-£2,200
