29th (Punjab) Bengal Infantry Lieutenant Colonel’s Mess Jacket & An Unattached List Officer’s Late Victorian Mess Jacket, the first in scarlet cloth with blue collar and cuffs edged in white, the part detached epaulettes with gilt buttons showing 29 within a single circle and bullion embroidery for the rank, the collar with two Indian General Service medal ribbons, lined with quilted scarlet silk; the second in scarlet cloth, blue collar and cuffs with gold lace decoration, small size tunic buttons showing St. Edward’s crown within a scalloped rim (eleven present out of twelve) lined with quilted white silk, small moth nips on the first item, the second lacking collar lining and the lining with quite severe damage overall otherwise good condition (2) £60-£100
