Ex Samson Collection 1991.

D.C.M. recommendation Submitted to the Queen 20 July 1855. Royal Mint records show that Granger received an annuity of £20 and both the D.C.M. and M.S.M. as a result of this Submission but, as the Submission has not survived, it cannot be said which medal was intended. A Meritorious Service Medal named to this man was recorded in the late W. P. Dawson collection.
