Griffin, C.M.G., D.S.O. and bar, Lancashire Fusiliers, comprising: Order of St. Michael and St. George, silver-gilt and enamels; D.S.O., G.V.R., with Bar, silver-gilt and enamels; Q.S.A., 6 clasps, Cape Colony, Tugela Heights, Orange Free State, Relief of Ladysmith, Transvaal, Laing’s Nek; K.S.A., 2 clasps; Mons Star Trio with M.I.D., mounted as worn, the first two chipped, otherwise very fine (7) £60-80

Brigadier-General Griffin married, in 1919, Ruby, formerly the wife of Captain A. C. Ward who was killed in August 1914 (See Lots 344, 479 & 515)
