Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 1 clasp, Transvaal (Lieut. C. F. Davey, Lanc. Fus.) very fine £100-120

Cecil Francis Davey was commissioned into the 5th (Volunteer) battalion, Hampshire Regiment, in 1893 and served with the 2nd battalion, Lancashire Fusiliers, during the Boer War. He resigned his commission in 1905 and rejoined the Territorial Force Reserve at the outbreak of war in 1914. He served overseas on the Staff and as Brigade Major, from May 1917, and was awarded the Military Cross.
