A unique combination of clasps to the M.G.S. medal.

Roger Crossman was born in the Parish of Lifton, Devonshire, and enlisted into the 40th Foot on 25 April 1805, aged 26. He was transferred to the 3rd Garrison Battalion on 25 May 1815, and was discharged on 21 March 1816, in consequence of ‘asthma and affliction of the liver occasioned by a stab of a sword.’ He was admitted to pension on 22 April 1816, resided at Plymouth and died on 23 May 1863.
