Only six single clasps for Albuhera to the 23rd.

Robert Hand was born in the Parish of Aughnamullen, near Carrickmacross, County Monaghan, and enlisted into the 23rd Foot on 30 April 1796, aged 23. He served 15 years 276 days and was discharged on 31 January 1812, in consequence of ‘an amputated arm from wounds at Albuhera 16 May 1811.’ He was admitted to a pension of 1s/3d per diem on 6 February 1812, and died at Glasgow on 13 October 1849.
