Edward Moore was born in Rotherhithe, Surrey. He served during the Great War with the 4th Dragoon Guards (Royal Irish) in the French theatre of war from 11 November 1914. Moore died of wounds on the Western Front, 29 May 1915, and is buried in the Hazebrouck Cemetery, Nord France.
