Armstrong, 72nd Foot); Turkish Crimea 1855, Sardinian issue (No, 1767 William Armstrong 72 Highlanders) fitted with scroll suspension, very fine or better (4) £240-£280

William Armstrong was born in the Parish of Whithorn, Wigton, and attested for the 72nd Highlanders at Dumfries on 29 July 1843, for 21 years. He completed his period of service in November 1864 and was finally discharged on 4 July 1865. Sold with copied discharge papers which confirm all medals and clasps.
