Victor Bickersteth Murray was educated at Eton and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst, and was commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Cameron Highlanders on 1 May 1917. He served with them during the Great War on the Western Front from 19 June 1917.

James Brennan was born in Bolton, Lancashire, in 1885, and attested for the Royal Irish Regiment at Preston, Lancashire. He served with the 2nd Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 13 August 1914, and was killed in action during the battle of the Aisne on 14 September 1914. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on la Ferte-Sous-Jouarre Memorial, France.

Sidney King, a native of Heytesbury, Wiltshire, attested for the Wiltshire Regiment, and served with the 2nd Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 26 October 1914. He was killed in action on 10 November 1914, and is buried in Lancashire Cottage Cemetery, Belgium.

James Small attested for the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, and served with them during the Great War on the Western Front from 4 October 1914. He was listed as ‘wounded’ on the War Office casualty list published on 27 January 1915.

Sidney Edward Harris was born in Swansea and attested there from the Welsh Regiment. He served with the 2nd Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 13 September 1914, and was killed in action on 14 October 1914. He is buried in Vendresse British Cemetery, France.

Leonard Wilcock was born in Wakefield, Yorkshire, and attested there for the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He served with 1st/4th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and died of wounds, caused by the effects of gas received at Nieuport, on 27 July 1917. He is buried in Abbeville Communal British Cemetery, France. Sold with a C.W.G.C. Certificate.
