Arthur Jukes was born in Egerton, Kent, in 1891 and attested for the Coldstream Guards at Wateringbury, Kent. He served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 22 January 1915, and was killed in action on 28 September 1915. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Loos Memorial, France.
