Henry Wingrove was born in Chingford, Essex, in 1892, and attested there for the Wiltshire Regiment. He served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 28 November 1914, and was killed in action on 15 January 1915. He is buried in La Laiterie Military Cemetery, Kemmel, Belgium. He is also commemorated on the Chingford War Memorial.
