F. G. Pym joined the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, and served during the Great War in H.M.S. Cyclops. He died on 12 February 1919, and is buried under a C.W.G.C. headstone in Bristol (Arnos Vale) Cemetery, Gloucestershire.
Frederick Pym attested for the Honourable Artillery Company, and served with them during the Great War on the Western Front. He was admitted to the Divisional Rest Station, 3rd Field Ambulance, on 13 February 1917.
