Thomas Blackburn attested for the Australian Imperial Force and served with the 3rd Battalion, Australian Infantry during the Great War on the Western Front. He was killed in action on 24 July 1916. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Somme, France.
