Philip Foster was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, and attested there for the Royal Fusiliers. He served with the 20th (3rd Public Schools) Battalion during the Great War in the Gallipoli theatre of War from 21 October 1915, and was killed in action on the Somme on 24 October 1916. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.

Harold Foster was born in Bradford, Yorkshire, and attested there for the West Yorkshire Regiment. He served with the 1st/6th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 16 April 1915, and was killed in action at Ypres on 19 November 1915. He has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
