Private A. Blomley, Manchester Regiment
British War and Victory Medals (46879 Pte. A. Blomley. Manch. R.) with named card box of issue, the name and Regiment removed from the lid of the box, but the number and rank still legible, extremely fine

Pair:
Private J. Bostock, Manchester Regiment, who was killed in action on the Western Front on 22 April 1917
British War and Victory Medals (277779 Pte. J. Bostock. Manch. R.) both in named card boxes of issue, with named Record Office enclosures, extremely fine (7) £100-£140

Frederick Wimbury attested for the Manchester Regiment, and served with them during the Great War on the Western Front from 8 November 1915. He was commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Manchester Regiment on 28 August 1917.

James Arnold Bostock was born in Denton, Lancashire, and attested there for the Manchester Regiment. He served with the 2nd/7th Battalion during the Great War, and was killed in action on the Western Front on 22 April 1917. He is buried in Vermelles British Cemetery, France.

Sold together with two card identity tags, both named to ‘22602 J. Adams, 23/Manch’.
