A Post 1902 Royal Naval Midshipman’s Dirk, the 44.5 cm blade by Gieves Mathews & Seagrove Ltd., the blade etched with the Imperial crown over a fouled anchor, the Royal Arms of Great Britain and panels of scrolling foliage, the wire bound fish skin grip with gilt metal back strap and lion’s head finial, full dress sword knot and gold and blue metal thread embroidery, gilt chape mounted black leather scabbard with initials on the reverse ‘G.M.McK.’, together with its undress waist belt this complete with post 1902 gilt metal frontal plate, the blade with rust patches, no gilt remains on any of the fittings otherwise sound condition £100-£160
