An 1822 Pattern Infantry Officer’s Sword by Henry Wilkinson Serial No. 5016, the 82 cm blade with single fuller is etched with crowned VR cypher and panels of scrolling foliage, pierced brass metal hand guard incorporating crowned VR cypher, wire bound fish skin grip, together with its steel scabbard this mounted with three ornate gilt brass chapes, small rust patch near the tip otherwise the blade is bright, no gilt remains on the relevant elements otherwise good condition £140-£200
