Thomas Law re-joined the Military Mounted Police, from the Army Reserve on 6 August 1914, and served during the Great War on the Western Front with Headquarters, 1st Cavalry Brigade, from 10 August 1914. He was promoted Acting Sergeant on 19 March 1918.
