Alex Laurie Brown qualified LRCP, LRCS (Edinburgh), and LFPS (Glasgow) in 1899. He was employed as a Surgeon by the Clyde Shipping Company, and served as ship’s surgeon with the Transport City of Vienna (Ellerman Line). In later life Brown resided at 84 Terregles Avenue, Lockshields, Glasgow.
