Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal (4230 Pte. F. Cooper. Worcester: Regt.) edge bruise, good very fine £70-£90

Frederick Cooper was born in Dudley, Worcestershire, in 1875, and attested there for the Worcestershire Regiment on 28 December 1894, having previously served in the Regiment’s 3rd (Militia) Battalion. He served with the Regiment in Malta and Bermuda, and in South Africa during the Boer War from 17 December 1899 to 8 November 1902 (additionally entitled to the King’s South Africa Medal with both date clasps). He was discharged on 27 December 1906, after 12 years’ service.

Sold with copied service papers and medal roll extracts (which gives entitlement to the Cape Colony clasp only).
