Albert Turner was a native of Wandsworth, London. He served during the Great War with the 2nd Battalion, East Lancashire Regiment in the French theatre of war from 6 November 1914. The Battalion served as part of the 24th Brigade, 23rd and 8th Divisions on the Somme, July - November 1916.
