Five: Station Sergeant Jakah, Rhodesia Police, late British South Africa Police

Rhodesia Police Medal for Meritorious Service (10984 Stn./Sgt.); Rhodesia General Service Medal (10984 Stn./Sgt.); Rhodesia Police L.S. & G.C., with Second Award Bar (10984 Stn./Sgt.); War Medal 1939-45; Colonial Police L.S. & G.C., E.II.R. (10984 Afr. 1/Sgt., B.S.A.P.), this last with surname ‘Zivanai’, mounted as worn, edge bruising and contact marks, very fine or better (5) £180-220

Jakah Zivana attested for the British South Africa Police in July 1942 and was awarded the Colonial Police L.S. & G.C. Medal in February 1961. Ten years later he received his Rhodesia Police Medal for Meritorious Service and L.S. & G.C. Medal, and a Bar to the latter in June 1973, the year following his retirement as a Station Sergeant. His award of the Rhodesia General Service Medal is also confirmed as having been awarded in June 1970. A fine long service group.
