War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal, both officially inscribed ‘95966 I. J. Rogers’, good very fine, together with a silvered presentation trophy, in the form of a medallion with integral screw fitment for attachment to a stand, obverse, bust of G.VI.R. left and ‘For God, King and Country’, reverse, Shire of Ripon, In Appreciation of War Services 1939-45, to ‘I. Joan Rogers’ £40-50

Irene Joan Rivers was born at Codford St. Mary, England in January 1918 and enlisted in the Women’s Australian Auxiliary Air Force in June 1942. Following assorted postings in Australia, she was discharged from No. 1 Wireless Operator and Gunnery School at Ballarat in February 1946.
