Ernest Edgar was born at Liverpool in 1889. He served as a Trooper in the Lancashire Hussars Yeomanry, 1907-11. In the Great War he served as a Gunner in the Honourable Artillery Company, March 1915 - January 1917 and then as a Lieutenant with the R.F.C. / R.A.F., January 1917 - November 1919. After the war Edgar served in India as a Captain in the Supply and Transport Corps. In the Second World War he volunteered for service in February 1941 and served as an Armaments Officer with the rank of Lieutenant in the South African Air Force. He was released from full-time service in November 1945. Sold with copied service papers.
