Francis Ewart Kent was born in 1884 at Coventry, Warwickshire. During the Great War he served aboard the cruiser and flagship tender H.M.S. Sappho (Aug. 1914 - Oct. 1915) and the armed boarding steamer H.M.S. King Orry (Oct. 1915 - Feb. 1916).

Thomas Maltby was born in 1884 at Louth, Lincolnshire. In the Great War he served aboard the armoured cruiser H.M.S.
Bacchante (Aug. 1914 - Feb. 1916) and the battleship H.M.S. Royal Oak (May 1916 - Jan. 1919).

Both sold with copied service papers.
