The mounted group of seven miniature dress medals attributed to Lieutenant Commander D. Blair, Royal Naval Reserve, Order of the British Empire, 1st type, M.B.E., Military Division, silver; 1914 Star; British War and Victory Medals, M.I.D. Oakleaf; Sea Gallantry Medal, G.V.R., silver; R.N.R. Decoration, G.V.R., silver and silver-gilt; France, Third Republic, Legion of Honour, silver and enamel. mounted as worn, good very fine (7) £60-80

The Sea Gallantry Medal was awarded to Lieutenant David Blair, R.N.R. as 1st Officer of the Majestic of Liverpool, for an incident on 6.5.1913. He was awarded the M.B.E. and Legion of Honour in 1918.
