Honourable East India Company, Bengal Presidency two extremely rare HEIC commissions granted to Henry Imlach, the first one issued under the Governor Generalship of Sir John Shore, Bart, appointing Imlack (sic) to be a Captain in the Army of the Honorable United East India Company as from 8th January 1796, issued at Fort William 27th March 1797, signed by Shore and Counsellors Peter Speke and William Cowper; the second one issued by His Excellency Lieutenant General George Hewett, Vice President and Deputy Governor and appoints Imlach to be a Major of Infantry as from 16th September 1807 issued at Fort William 1st December 1809, signed by Hewett and Consellors John Lumsden and Henry Thomas Colebrooke, both commissions bear the paper seal of the HEIC, part tear to the first item otherwise in very good condition for age (2) £200-300
