‘At 7.40p.m. on the 5th April 1915, two men were thrown into the sea off Donibristle owing to the capsizing of a boat. W. Gibson swam to their help and kept both afloat till they were picked up fifteen minutes after.’ (R.H.S. case no. 41688)
