Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, 1 clasp, The Nile 1884-85 (228 Pte. J. Willis, 1/Rl. Ir. Regt.) pitted and edge bruising, good fine £100-120

John Willis was born in the Parish of St. John’s, near Leamington, Warwickshire and enlisted in the Royal Irish Regiment at Chatham in January 1882. In a subsequent career of 12 years with the Colours, his only active service was in the Nile Expedition of 1884-85 and he was transferred to the Reserve in 1894.
