Naval General Service 1793-1840, 1 clasp, Trafalgar (John Sharp) with original ribbon, small edge bruise, otherwise extremely fine and an attractive medal £1200-1500

Confirmed on the roll as an Ordinary Seaman on Thunderer at Trafalgar. John Sharp was a ‘pressed man’, born at Farnham, who was taken on board the Thunderer on 29 April 1805. Two other men with these names are shown on the rolls, one for Syria, and one for Anse La Barque 1809 and Guadaloupe. Sold with relevant copies of the muster rolls and the ship’s log for the battle of Trafalgar.
