Alexander Miller served with the 1st Garrison Battalion of the Gordon Highlanders in the Third Afghan War. P.R.O. sources reveal that he was at one time a Sergeant, also served in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, and was not entitled to a Victory Medal.
