Waterloo 1815 (Lieut. August Muller, 1st Line Batt. K.G.L.) fitted with original steel clip and ring suspension, extremely fine £2000-2500

Augustus Muller entered the service of the King’s German Legion in 1805 and served in the Expedition to Hannover that same year; in the Baltic 1807-08; and in the Peninsula 1809-11, where he was severely wounded at Talavera on 28 July 1809. He was commissioned Lieutenant in 1813 and subsequently participated in the campaign in North Germany 1813-14, and was present at the battle of Waterloo where he was again very severely wounded. He appears on the British half-pay list from 26 February 1816, then as a Captain by Brevet on the Hannoverian Retired List, at Osterholz, Hannover. Captain Muller was also created a Knight of the Hannoverian Guelphic Order.
