19th Century French Bicorne Hat, of black felt with a silver lace and dark blue velvet broad ribbon, this with button inscribed ‘Vicinalite’ and with the French Eagle below, the ribbon resting on the tricoleur rosette, two further bands of back linen, leather sweatband and retailer’s details, ‘Arbino Place de Bellecour 20 Lyon, Fournisseur general De L’Armee’, together with its original well made shaped wooden carrying box, some age wear to the hat but generally in good condition £60-£100
