First Lanarkshire Engineer Volunteers Officer’s Blue Cloth Helmet c1878-1901, the blue cloth skull complete with all plated fittings, the frontal plate of Royal Arms pattern with two scrolls, ‘First’ & ‘Lanarkshire Engineer Volunteers’, buff leather sweatband and crimson silk lining. The plate is original to the helmet, small stitching fault on the chin chain liner, very good condition £300-£400
