Canadian Memorial Cross, G.V.R. (2) (6229 Sgt. L. S. Hopwood.; 898116 Pte. Wm. Archer) very fine (2) £60-£80

Lawrence Stephen Hopwood served during the Great War with the 1st Battalion, Canadian Infantry (Western Ontario Regiment), and died at home in London, Ontario, on 9 October 1920. He is buried under a C.W.G.C. headstone in London (Woodland) Cemetery, Ontario, Canada.

William Archer was born in Chorley, Lancashire, on 29 July 1889 and served during the Great War with the 10th Battalion, Canadian Infantry (Alberta Regiment). He died on the Western Front on 27 September 1918, and is buried in Haynecourt British Cemetery, France.
