Winifred Lilian Morfee was born in Lambeth, London, on 8 February 1888, and in 1911 was employed as a typist by the London County Council. She died in Lymington, Hampshire, on 5 December 1982, aged 94.

Sold with the A.R.P lapel badge attributed to Mrs. Doris Mary Caulder, together with the recipient’s Travel Identity Card, containing a photograph of her; her National Registration Identity Card; her Air Raid Precautions Pass; and a copy of the booklet ‘Some Practical Notes on A.R.P. Duties’.
