Horace Charles Cochrane was born in St. Peter Port, Guernsey, in 1872 and served with the Royal Guernsey Light Infantry during the Great War on the Western Front. He was killed in action on 21 March 1918, and, having no known grave is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
