John Cropp was born in 1892 and attested for the Army Cyclist Corps at Hounslow on 5 July 1915. He served overseas with the British Expeditionary Force from 19 December 1916, and died of broncho-pneumonia on 28 November 1918, the disease contracted on active service and due to active service conditions. He is buried in Sofia War Cemetery, Bulgaria.
