Thomas Hubbard was born in Lambeth, London, and attested for the King’s Royal Rifle Corps at Barnet, Middlesex. He served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 12 October 1914. He has no known grave and is commemorated on la Ferte-sous-Jouarre Memorial, France.

George Gittens was born in Rochdale, Lancashire, and attested there for the Lancashire Fusiliers. Transferring to the King’s Royal Rifle Corps, he served with the 16th (Church Lads Brigade) Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 23 August 1916. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.
