Newton Dukinfield Thompson was born at Wrexham on 20 March 1886, was educated at Uppingham, and became an architect and surveyor in the Bury area of Lancashire. He volunteered for service in September 1914 and served in France with the 3/5th Lancashire Fusiliers from 28 February 1917, and, from 18 February 1918, with the 19th Lancashire Fusiliers, after the former battalion was disbanded. After the war he continued his professing and was resident at Reading, Berkshire. Sold with copied m.i.c. and service papers.
