E. Pearson was born in 1877 and served in the Royal Field Artillery for 19 years and 48 days. He was advanced temporary Warrant Officer Class I in April 1915, and retired as a Sergeant Major in 1920. Recalled for service during the Second World War, he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal without annuity per Army Order 98 of 1953.
